About the Role: As the Director-Legal at, you will be responsible role in managing intellectual property (IP) rights to protect and leverage an organization’s innovations, creations, and brand assets. Overseeing all legal matters on a global scale. This includes managing a team of legal professionals, providing legal counsel to executive leadership, and ensuring that the company operates within the bounds of all applicable laws and regulations Roles & Responsibilities: Identifying and Securing IP Rights: Ensuring patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets are properly registered and protected to prevent unauthorized use. Advising on IP Strategy: Helping the organization strategically manage IP to maximize its commercial value and ensure alignment with business goals. Drafting and Reviewing Agreements: Creating and reviewing licensing, confidentiality, and collaboration agreements to secure IP rights and outline the permitted use. Enforcement and Litigation: Monitoring for infringement, taking action against unauthorized use, and managing IP-related disputes or litigation. Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Identifying potential risks, ensuring compliance with IP laws, and advising on IP risks in partnerships or acquisitions. IP Training and Awareness: Educating employees on IP rights and policies to prevent unintentional infringement and protect the organization’s IP. Drafting and Reviewing Contracts: Creating clear, enforceable contracts that outline the terms of agreements, minimizing ambiguity and potential disputes. Negotiating Terms: Working with internal teams and external parties to negotiate contract terms that safeguard the organization’s rights and ensure fair obligations. Risk Assessment and Compliance: Identifying legal risks, ensuring contract compliance with laws and policies, and mitigating potential liabilities.
