Requisition Description
We are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer with experience in Manual Testing, Python-based Automation, Playwright, and Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating large-scale data processing systems, ensuring application quality through manual and automated testing, and verifying data integrity across complex Big Data environments involving Kafka, Solr, ETL, and Hadoop.
Roles and Responsibilities Key ResponsibilitiesManual TestingAnalyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.Prepare test reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.Automation TestingDesign, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python and Playwright.Create robust automated test scripts for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.Perform test script reviews and optimize automation coverage and execution efficiency.Enhance automation frameworks by implementing reusable components and best practices.Big Data TestingValidate data pipelines and data processing workflows across ETL, Kafka, Hadoop, and Solr ecosystems.Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.Verify data quality, completeness, consistency, and accuracy across distributed systems.Test batch and real-time data processing applications.Validate data ingestion, transformation, indexing, and retrieval processes.Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues within Big Data environments.Required Technical SkillsTestingStrong experience in Manual Testing methodologies.Experience in Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and UAT testing.Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.AutomationHands-on experience in Python programming.Strong expertise in Playwright automation.Experience in designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.Experience with API testing and automation.Big DataWorking experience with:Apache KafkaApache SolrETL TestingHadoop EcosystemUnderstanding of distributed data processing and data validation techniques.Experience validating large datasets and complex data workflows.DatabaseStrong SQL skills and database testing experience.Ability to write complex queries for data validation and analysis.Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.Tools & TechnologiesGit/GitHubJira or similar defect management toolsJenkins, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD toolsAgile/Scrum methodologiesPreferred SkillsExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.Knowledge of PyTest or other Python testing frameworks.Experience with data warehousing concepts.Understanding of performance and scalability testing.Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.Educational QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Key CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities.Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
