Requisition Description
Must Have:Strong understanding of TCP/IP stack, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and switching concepts.Hands-on knowledge of OSI model layers and the ability to troubleshoot issues across layers.Experience with common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, ARP, ICMP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SNMP, etc.Experience analyzing and debugging network traffic using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar packet analyzers.Working knowledge of network topologies (LAN/WAN/VLAN/VPN) and experience validating network behavior in distributed systems.Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments.Proficient with bug tracking and test management.Experience in Functional, Integration, Performance, Load, scalability and automated testing.Experience in defining test cases, testing strategies and automation framework.Experience in scripting language Python and shell scriptingExcellent Problem Solving and Debugging skills.Good to Have:Virtualization, Networking, Storage, Security domain is an advantage. Experience in automated testing.Experience in CI/CD Implementation.Knowledge of UNIX environment and Shell scripting is an advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities Core ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend services using industrystandard tools and programming languages.Build, optimize, and execute automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and reliability across releases.Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, architects, and DevOps engineers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.Participate in reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and test reports.Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects using bugtracking tools, ensuring timely resolution with engineering teams.Testing & Quality OwnershipEnsure endtoend test coverage across functional, regression, integration, performance, and scalability scenarios.Implement shift-left testing practices by integrating automated tests early in the CI/CD pipeline.Conduct root cause analysis of defects and propose preventive automation or process improvements.Continuously assess and improve the test automation strategy to maximize productivity and reduce manual efforts.Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-environment test validations.CI/CD & DevOps CollaborationIntegrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar.Monitor pipeline failures, triage issues, and collaborate with teams to maintain green pipelines and release readiness.Contribute to test environment setup, configuration, and stability checks to ensure reliable execution of automated suites.Quality Governance & ReportingProvide regular test execution reports, automation coverage reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders and leadership.Raise risks, highlight quality concerns, and drive discussions for improving engineering processes.Act as a quality advocate across teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards, test practices, and QA methodologies.Support audit, compliance, and documentation requirements as needed.Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementMentor junior team members on automation best practices, debugging techniques, and framework usage.Research and evaluate new tools, techniques, and technologies for continuous improvement of automation capabilities.Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth UAT cycles, manage test data, and streamline readiness criteria.Proactively contribute to process automation, reducing repetitive manual quality tasks wherever possible.
