As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that meet the organization's infrastructure needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy, manage, and optimize cloud environments while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Roles and Responsibilities 1.Cloud Infrastructure Design and Architecture:Design and architect cloud-based solutions, considering factors such as scalability, availability, performance, and cost optimization.2.Cloud Platform Deployment and Management:Deploy and configure cloud services and resources on platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards.Manage cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, and databases.3.Monitoring and Performance Optimization:Set up monitoring and logging systems to track cloud infrastructure performance and identify potential issues or bottlenecks.Implement auto-scaling and load balancing techniques to optimize resource utilization and ensure high availability.4.Security and Compliance:Implement security controls and best practices to protect cloud environments from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.5.Disaster Recovery and Backup:Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to ensure data resilience and business continuity in the event of outages or disasters.Test and validate disaster recovery procedures regularly to ensure effectiveness and reliability.6.Collaboration and Documentation:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and security specialists, to support application deployment and integration efforts.Document cloud infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure repeatability.7.Technical Support and Troubleshooting:Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for cloud-related issues, including performance degradation, service outages, and security incidents.
