Requisition Description
Hands on with Database technologies like Oracle, MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008R2 TSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.Experienced in understanding business requirement use cases and design to translate them into analytic objects and code. Competent in writing SQL queries,stored procedures, PL/SQL. Experience in any scripting language like Java, Python, R, etc. Experience in all flavors of operating systems like Windows, Linux, Unix. Experienced in developing reports, dashboards and analytics using any of the contemporary reporting and BI tools like - Crystal reports, Business Objects, Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) or Microsoft Analysis services (MSAS), Tableau, MicroStrategy, Qlik, PoweBI, SpotFire. Experience in creating ETL jobs using any ETL platform like Informatica, SSIS, etc.Ability to understand data models, schema design and data mart / data warehouse design. Experience in developing OLAP Cubes for slicing and dicing. Experience in developing interactive BI dashboards, reports, and KPI analytics. Experience in developing Data Science (AI, ML) use cases using Python, RKnowledge of SDLC, project management concepts and Agile delivery methodology.
Roles and Responsibilities Understand customer requirements, problem statements and business use cases. Document customer requirements. Design ETL jobs, query objects, data marts, reports, and dashboards. Document technical design. Experienced in translating business requirements into design. Develop and test ETL jobs, query objects, data marts, reports, and dashboards. Understand Customers business domain and existing database schema. Design OLAP cubes, SQL reports, interactive Charts and Dashboards. Write stored procedures, functions, packages, scripts, and complex SQLs. Review existing report design, database schema, SQL code and provide recommendations to enhance performance, operational aspects etc. Work closely with customers for solution fine tuning and troubleshooting production issues. Efficient in task monitoring and status reporting to senior management, customers, and stakeholders. Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills which may require debugging at OS, database, or network level, if needed.
